<p>For this blog entry I?ll share with you some info on how to decertify/ application unlock your Smartphone. I have to hard reset my phones to test if this method really works. Well, it worked on the test device I?ve used; SAP1, C500, and C550 (all running Orange ROM). A fellow Smartphone user informed me that the method works on a newly flashed Voyager (flashed with Orange ROM). Instructions posted here may or may not work on your device. Feedback much appreciated. </p>

<strong>Guide:</strong>
1. Download PHM Registry Editor.
2. Unzip to a folder on your PC then rename the EXE to ?1.exe?
3. Using a card reader, transfer 1.exe to \Storage Card. It should appear as \Storage Card\1.exe. Mount Storage Card to phone once done.
4. Power on device then open Internet Explorer. At the address bar type <strong>file://\Storage%20Card\1.exe</strong> then hit Go. PHM Registry Editor should open.
5. Open HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Policies\Policies. Try changing the values of:</p>
<p>00001001 to 1
00001005 to 16
00001017 to 16
0000101b to 1

6. Exit PHM Reg Edit afterwards (using Back button).
7. Download then unzip this utility to a folder on your PC. http://www.gpcarreon.com/SDA_ApplicationUnlock.zip
8. Connect phone to PC then click the SDA Application EXE. Click ?Remove Lock?
9. Restart device. 
A quick note: why not just run the SDA Full Application Unlock utility post-hard reset? I tried unlocking my device without registry editing and this is what I got?
<strong>To check if this really works:</strong>
1. Hard reset your device then perform the procedures.</p>
<p>2. If you have the IMEI-specific Orange Unlocker/ utility, set the Security Level to ?High Security?, sync phone to PC then run SDA Unlocker. Try to unlock the device. Note the error message. Successful or not?</p>
<p>3. With phone on ?High Security? state, run the registry editor then edit the aforementioned keys. Run the SDA Unlocker while phone is sync?d. Still getting the same ?Phone is not unlockable? error message?
WM5 owners, kindly provide feedback. I think this will also work on C600 prior to AKU2 update.
