You can use your Smartphone as a webcam for online chat (Yahoo Messenger or MSN) if you have ultra fast internet connection. This guide was performed on a Typhoon device (Orange C500) and should work on counterpart devices.

Requirements:
1. Active Sync Remote Display control - a tool which is able to display Smartphone applications on your desktop or laptop without needing any device side configuration.
2. Luminositi ?SoftCam? software - is a screen capture program you can use to stream your desktop in realtime.
3. Sync cable.
4. An MS-Smartphone with integrated camera.

Procedures:
1. Download then install required softwares.

2. Sync phone to computer then launch Remote Display program. Launch your phone?s camera program.

3. Launch your favorite instant messaging program. For this guide we will use Yahoo Messenger program.

4. Once logged, invite a peer to view your webcam by clicking on his/her name on your list then use the ?webcam? icon of YM.

5. You will now see this window?it says ?My webcam?. You can control your broadcast using this window.

6. Ensure that you have switched to ?Live? streaming using the SoftCam button.

7. Drag the SoftCam window on top of the Remote Display window then adjust the frame size. Anything within the window will be displayed/streamed to your YM webcam window then eventually to your chatmate?s monitor so be careful with what you focus on cam!
